Dr. Mahmood Jawad Abu-AlShaeer has an intrinsic motivation for learning and scientific research.

His academic personality was refined through the experience of teaching for more than eleven years in Iraqi universities and institutes ( College of Business Administration and Economics at the University of Baghdad , Institute of Administration at Ministry of Education , National Institute of Planning at Ministry of Planning , Institute of Training and Statistical Research at Ministry of Planning ).

He has administrative experience in the academic field through his work in academic and ministerial positions ( Head of Researchers and Director of the Educational and Social Statistics Department at the Central Bureau of Statistics – Ministry of Planning , Head of the Maternal and Child Statistics Research Unit – the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) , A statistician in the Child Health Survey project – Ministry of Health , Secretary of the Iraqi Association of Statistical Sciences ).

Dr. Mahmoud has also authored several books :
