Indexing techniques are utilized for the process of retrieving information form databases. This research presents a comparison among the indexing techniques used in different Database Management System to provide a guide for database developers and DBAs for selecting a suitable indexing technique which is required for the data under consideration. Furthermore, we have compared the results between different types of indexing techniques in Oracle and MS-SQL Server.
